Domaine de l’Amauve 2021 Vaucluse “le Rosé d’Yvonne” France

We're absolutely giddy about having a second rosé from our good friend Christian at Domaine de l'Amauve in Séguret. If anyone has a pink thumb? It's definitely Christian! Over the past three years, his "Le Rosé de Simone" has grown to become the most successful rosé we have ever sold. It has everything a top-shelf rosé can offer -  quenching acidity, gorgeous color, ripe fruit flavors and perfect balance. But this year, to make sure Simone doesn't get too full of herself, she has a little sister to keep her in check. Meet Le Rosé D'Yvonne - a crisp, sassy rosé from Vaucluse - grown on the banks of the Rhône River, south of Séguret near the city of Vaison La Romaine and the famous village of Gigondas. Made from 50% Grenache, 40% Caladoc (a cross between Grenache and Malbec) and 10% Syrah, the yields for Yvonne are naturally low. These low yields translate to rich rosé with depth and character - exactly what Christian does best. Grapes are picked by hand in order to do a selection of the best clusters and the pressing is done with a pneumatic press after just 1 hour of skin contact resulting in a lovely pink, salmon hue. Enjoy the purity, the freshness and the engaging flavors of Yvonne - a beautifully crafted French rosé.
