Baron de Montfaucon Côtes du Rhône Blanc 2020 France

In a never ending sea of red blends, it's always nice to have some crisp, white wine to quench your thirst when the southern Rhône Valley heat starts to kick in. This Côte du Rhône Blanc blends 70% Clairette Blanche, 20% Viognier and 10% Grenache Blanc making for some tasty, whistle whetting juice that goes just right with about any choice of appetizer, salad, or light meal you can think of. It is medium to full-bodied and because it features the ancient Clairette grape, flavors of stone fruit and ripe peach are at the forefront followed by hints of apple and tangerine. It is bolstered by bright acidity and has a nice, refreshing mouthfeel that hangs around long after you swallow the last drop. Very fun wine to drink.
