From a very coveted vineyard parcel called Les Rochins, the Garon family crafts this stunning Côte Rôtie made from 100% Syrah. Here in the "Cru" appellation of the northern Rhône Valley, and more specifically, the Côte Brune side of the appellation, Syrah develops in a way like no place else and continues to be the world standard. It's hard to come up with the right accolades to describe this incredible wine because there are so many nuances and layers of flavor. But I'll start with black raspberries, blueberries, smoked meat, chocolate, violets, and crushed stone. It is full-bodied, ultra-fine, silky tannins, a powerful style while still staying light on its feet and just damn classy. This is Côte Rôtie as it was meant to be, and more importantly, Syrah as it can only be when grown in the Northern Rhône Valley.
