Here's a guaranteed Italian recipe for success! Grab a bottle of Mània, pull the cork, decant, wait 1 hour, and prepare for the full meal Tuscan deal - oh yeah baby! With a combination of modern flair and good ol’ Italian tradition, Mània is mostly Sangiovese blended with 15% Merlot and 15% Cabernet Sauvignon. This is a mouthful of dark berry flavor packing heaps of Bing cherry, blackberry and plum. Then undertones of leather, tobacco and spice start creeping in followed by some fine, sweet tannins. The finest Sangiovese grapes at the Poggio Nicchiaia winery go into the production of Mània because this a special wine. You will understand why the second you taste it. This lovely red spends 14 months in oak and another 6 months in bottle making sure the wine has time to integrate and find its healthy balance. Trust me, this ain’t your granddaddy’s Chianti in a straw basket, that’s for sure. That rustic swill was darn near undrinkable. Prepare yourself for a special treat and get ready for a heady glass of the big stuff when you open Mània and think Oso Bucco or Pasta Puttanesca when the hunger sets in. Molto bene!
