The moment you to take your first sip it's obvious this Chianti is not your everyday, pizza red. So smooth and so delicious, this Sangiovese from the Colli Senesi - Chianti's prominent sub-zone surrounding Siena – is 90% Sangiovese, 5% Colorino and 5% Merlot. After harvest and fermentation in late September, the wine remains in stainless steel vats until spring and is then transferred to large oak barrels (800 gallons) where it ages for 12 months. The result is a deeply flavorful Chianti, silky smooth, mouth feel and satisfying from start to finish. If you want to call it your pizza red, go ahead, but let's agree - this is good juice.
